Marvellous Mince Dinner with Soy Sauce, Eggs and Bone Broth
A regular beef mince dinner in combination with soy sauce, eggs and bone broth gives it a flavour that that your taste buds will dance at.

Mince Dinner
Mince for dinner is easy. It defrosts quickly and doesn’t take too much to taste good. It can also be paired with nearly anything and make a fabulous meal.
What You May Need
Sharp knives or Food processor
Cutting Board
Mixing cups
Ingredients
Mince (ground beef)
Onion
Ginger
Corn starch
Frozen peas
Sesame oil (optional)
Eggs
For the Sauce
Bone broth
White pepper
Oyster sauce or fish sauce
Shaoxing wine or dry sherry
Directions
Start by chopping the onions and mincing the ginger, so that it is ready to add later in the recipe.

Next, heat the peanut oil in a large pot and wait until it becomes hot. Then add the mince meat and break it apart into chunks.

Cook the meat until browned not the edges, then add the onions and ginger and cook for 5 minutes. Stir the meat occasionally until the onions become tender.

In the meantime, prepare your sauce by combing all the ingredients listed in the sauce list.

Once the onions are tender, pour in the sauce and let it simmer with the meat for 10 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the cornstarch with a 1/4 cup water to be added shortly.
Add the frozen peas to the mince and stir in. Turn down the heat so that the mince is lightly simmering but not boiling.

Add in the corn starch but ensure that the meat does not come to a boil. This will inhibit the corn starch from thickening the sauce.
Stir often to thicken the sauce. Once sauce is thickened, crack 5 eggs into mince and stir slightly to cover them with liquid and meat.

Cover the pot and cook the eggs for 3-5 minutes with the lid covered. This will give you a medium boiled egg. Once the eggs are cooked, remove the pot from the heat.

More Dinner Ideas
Food is something we make every day and I never tire of new dinner ideas. There are however some favourites that stick, and this recipe is one.
Here are some of our favourite dinners:
The beloved oven roasted Tomato Soup, made with tomatoes from our garden. It would work just as well with tomatoes from the store. It’s best around tomato season. Although roasting the tomatoes in the oven brings out a decadent flavour, so any tomatoes would do.
Try the easy cottage pie, which I usually make in large batches. This freezes well for future meals too.
When you have too much zucchini, the One Pan Fried Zucchini, Sausage and Relish is a good way to spice it up.
And a few others:
- Pot Roast
- Lasagna (takes a little longer but can be quick if you have pre-made mince)
- Boboti (South African Mince Curry) with Yellow Rice
- Beef Heart & Liver Stew
